The material used to make SS 410 Hollow Bars is martensitic stainless steel, which contains trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and nickel in addition to 11.5–13.5% chromium and up to 0.08% carbon. After heat treatment, the material shows a hardness of 45–50 HRC, a yield strength of 220–480 MPa, and a tensile strength of 550–750 MPa.
