Stainless Steel 317L Hollow Bars are among the premium stainless steel products that George Metals, a reputable manufacturer and supplier with headquarters in Houston, USA, produces and supplies. George Metals is well-known for their proficiency in cutting-edge metallurgy and customer-focused solutions. They produce precisely engineered hollow bars that satisfy global quality standards. Their 317L hollow bars are perfect for critical industrial applications because of their exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in chemical and marine environments. The food industry, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and chemical processing are just a few of the industries that George Metals serves with a robust logistics network and strict quality control, guaranteeing reliable performance and on-time delivery.
Austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum and has a low carbon content is used to make stainless steel 317L hollow bars. Their composition, which improves corrosion and pitting resistance, consists of 18–20% Chromium, 11–15% Nickel, 3–4% Molybdenum, and ≤0.03% Carbon. 317L provides outstanding ductility and weldability along with a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of about 205 MPa. In corrosive environments, the low carbon content preserves structural integrity by lowering carbide precipitation during welding. These bars ensure durability and long-term dependability in demanding industrial conditions because they retain good mechanical qualities at high temperatures and are especially resistant to corrosion caused by acids and chlorides.

Because of their improved resistance to pitting and chemical attack, stainless steel 317L hollow bars are widely used in extremely corrosive environments. They are frequently used in pulp and paper industries, chemical and petrochemical processing facilities, and maritime settings where harsh material exposure occurs frequently. Heat exchangers, condensers, fluid transport systems, and equipment used in food processing are all perfect for these bars. They are especially well-suited for welded applications due to their low carbon content, which lowers the possibility of intergranular corrosion. Because of their strength under high pressure and hygienic surface finish, 317L hollow bars are preferred in the textile and pharmaceutical industries.
