About 90% of Titanium Grade 6 Bars/Rods (Ti-5Al-2.5Sn) are made of titanium, with 2.5% tin and 5% aluminium serving as important alloying components. High strength, outstanding weldability, and good corrosion resistance—particularly in oxidising environments—are all provided by this alpha-phase alloy. The alloy has a yield strength of about 827 MPa, a tensile strength of about 895 MPa, and an elongation of about 10-15%.
