Based in Chennai, India, Vinit Stainless is a well-known manufacturer and supplier of titanium gr 1 forgings, with a reputation for providing customers in a variety of industries with high-quality titanium components. Using cutting-edge technology and stringent quality control procedures, we specialise in creating precision-engineered forgings. Of all the titanium grades, Grade 1 is the softest and most ductile, which makes it ideal for uses requiring exceptional corrosion resistance and formability. Via customised solutions, prompt deliveries, and goods that meet international standards for performance, dependability, and durability in demanding environments, Vinit Stainless is dedicated to fulfilling customer needs.
Commercially pure titanium with exceptional corrosion resistance and formability is used to make titanium Gr 1 forgings. With trace amounts of oxygen (max 0.18%), nitrogen (max 0.03%), hydrogen (max 0.015%), iron (max 0.20%), and carbon (max 0.08%), the typical chemical composition consists of titanium (min 99.5%). With a tensile strength of about 240 MPa, yield strength of about 170 MPa, and elongation of more than 24%, it has low strength but high ductility. Because of these characteristics, Grade 1 titanium is perfect for applications requiring corrosion resistance and cold forming across a range of industries.

Titanium Grade 1 forgings are commonly used in aerospace, chemical processing, marine, medical, and automotive industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight, high strength, and biocompatibility properties.
Titanium Grade 1 forgings are made by heating titanium billets, then shaping them using compressive forces like hammering or pressing, followed by precision machining to achieve the desired specifications.
Open-die forging for Titanium Gr 1 involves compressing heated titanium between flat or contoured dies, allowing metal to deform freely, producing strong, customized components with excellent structural integrity.
Industries that require high corrosion resistance, particularly in oxidising environments, frequently use titanium Gr 1 forgings. Heat exchangers, condenser tubing, chemical processing apparatus, marine parts, and medical implants are among the common uses. It is also preferred in surgical instruments and medical devices because of its superior biocompatibility. Grade 1 titanium is utilised in the aerospace sector for airframe and ducting components. It is perfect for fabricating intricate shapes due to its exceptional formability and weldability. Because of its exceptional resistance to saline and acidic environments, it is also used in electrochemical applications, desalination systems, and chlorate production.
