Tantalum R05252 consists of 90% tantalum and 10% tungsten and provides a substantial increase in strength and heat–resistant deformation. It provides tensile strength of 500–750 MPa and yield strength of 400–600 MPa along with elongation of 10–15%. R05252 retains corrosion resistance to concentrated mineral acids but shows notable improvement in thermal creep resistance and mechanical hardness. R05252 is less ductile than pure tantalum but provides long-term performance at elevated temperatures in oxidizing and reducing media.
