George Metals, a reputable provider of high-quality industrial metal products with its headquarters located in Houston, USA, offers customized solutions to a variety of industries. We supply materials that satisfy the exacting specifications of crucial applications and are renowned for our dedication to quality, dependability, and durability. Specifically designed for the offshore, chemical, and marine industries where mechanical strength and corrosion resistance are critical, our Super Duplex Steel Hex Bar is an exceptional solution. These bars are perfect for demanding and harsh operating environments because of their exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
Super Duplex Steel Hex Bars have a dual-phase microstructure of roughly 50% ferrite and 50% austenite, making them ideal for high-performance applications. This structure improves corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. In addition to 0.2–0.3% nitrogen and trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and carbon, their composition normally consists of 24–26% chromium, 6–8% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. These components help provide exceptional resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and corrosion caused by chloride. Because of its exceptional fatigue resistance, low thermal expansion, and high tensile strength, the material is ideal for harsh industrial settings.

Yes, Super Duplex Steel Hex Bars are magnetic due to their mixed microstructure of austenite and ferrite, which gives them magnetic properties, though they are less magnetic than ferritic steels.
Yes, Super Duplex Steel Hex Bars are suitable for hygienic and sanitary applications due to their corrosion resistance, durability, and ease of cleaning, making them ideal for industries like food processing and pharmaceuticals.
Super Duplex Steel Hex Bars are less susceptible to galvanic corrosion compared to other materials due to their high corrosion resistance. However, they may still experience galvanic corrosion when in contact with less resistant metals.
Industries requiring high strength, resistance to corrosion, and long-term durability frequently use super duplex steel hex bars. Because they don’t corrode in seawater, they are perfect for shipbuilding, offshore platforms, and subsea equipment in the maritime industry. These bars are utilized in the oil and gas sector for heat exchangers, valves, and pressure vessels because they perform exceptionally well in corrosive and high-pressure environments. They are used in piping systems and reactors exposed to harsh chemicals in the chemical processing industry. In order to ensure stability and longevity in challenging conditions, they are also used in desalination plants and power generation.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
