Stainless steel For enhanced intergranular corrosion resistance, 347 Flat Bars are stabilised austenitic stainless steels that are mainly made up of 17–20% Chromium, 9–13% Nickel, and trace amounts of Columbium (Niobium). The maximum amount of carbon that can be present is 0.08%. These bars have outstanding creep resistance at high temperatures, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of roughly 515 MPa. Pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and furnace components can all benefit from 347 flat bars’ good oxidation resistance, weldability, and ability to retain mechanical integrity at high temperatures.
