George Metals, a reputable manufacturer and supplier with headquarters in Houston, Texas, is well known for offering customers in a variety of industries premium stainless steel 321H bars and rods. George Metals produces 321H stainless steel products that satisfy exacting industry requirements and international standards, with an emphasis on corrosion resistance, high-temperature performance, and durability. Their 321H bars and rods are appropriate for the petrochemical, refinery, and thermal processing industries since they are perfect for high-pressure and high-temperature settings. Committed to excellence, George Metals ensures prompt delivery, superior finish, and dependable mechanical properties for demanding applications throughout the U.S. and international markets.
Stabilised austenitic stainless steel, stainless steel 321H bars and rods have a carbon content of up to 0.10% for increased high-temperature strength, and roughly 17–19% chromium and 9–12% nickel. Additionally, they contain titanium (at least five times the carbon content) to prevent intergranular corrosion. In addition to having good ductility and creep resistance, 321H has a yield strength of 205 MPa and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa. Up to 900°C, these bars continue to function mechanically. Because of their stabilised structure, they last longer under oxidising and thermal cycling conditions by preventing carbide precipitation.

Applications requiring extended exposure to high temperatures and corrosive environments frequently use stainless steel 321H bars and rods. They are ideal for heat exchangers, furnace parts, thermal oxidizers, superheaters, and expansion joints in chemical processing and petrochemical plants. They are appropriate for welded pressure vessels and piping systems due to their resistance to intergranular corrosion. 321H is also used in the pharmaceutical, power generation, and aerospace industries for parts that need to be long-lasting and resistant to stress rupture and scaling. With enhanced creep strength and excellent weldability, 321H bars/rods offer reliable performance in both industrial heat zones and aggressive service conditions.

Stainless Steel 321H is a high-carbon version of 321 stainless steel. The higher carbon content in 321H improves its high-temperature strength, making it ideal for use in environments with temperatures over 800°C (1472°F). While both offer excellent resistance to oxidation and corrosion, 321H is particularly suited for applications with higher thermal stresses.
Stainless Steel 321H Bars and Rods are commonly used in industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, power generation, and marine environments. They are ideal for high-temperature applications such as heat exchangers, reactor cores, and furnace parts.
Yes, Stainless Steel 321H Bars and Rods can be welded effectively. The addition of titanium in the alloy reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding, making them suitable for high-temperature applications where welding is required.
We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
