Stainless Steel 310S square bars/rods consist mainly of 25% chromium, 20% nickel, and low carbon content to promote weldability as well as reduce carbide precipitation. This makes 310S have excellent oxidation resistance and high temperature strength. Mechanical properties consist of a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and adequate elongation and hardness. The structure is not lost during continuous service temperatures of up to 1150°C, indicating its suitability for high-temperature applications. Excellent ductility, creep resistance, as well as corrosion resistance in oxidizing and carburizing atmospheres, are also provided by the 310S type.
