Brian Fasteners, Houston, USA-based, provides superior quality Nitronic 33 bars and rods with the aid of advanced manufacturing and metallurgical processes. The products of Nitronic 33 from the company have superior strength and resistance to corrosion, particularly in sour and chloride environments. Through controlled finishing, deformation, and melting, they maintain tight dimensional tolerances and high-quality surface finish. To industries like marine, oil & gas, desalination, and chemical processing, Brian Fasteners provides flexible sizing, rapid supply, and technical advice from experts. Brian Fasteners Nitronic 33 rods and bars reflect the firm’s dedication to specialty alloys in demanding industrial environments.
Nitronic 33 is an austenitic stainless steel alloy with 17–19% chromium, 3–5% manganese, 0.07–0.25% nitrogen, and nominal nickel (~0.5%). No molybdenum content is present. This alloy possesses tensile strength of 800–1,200 MPa, yield strength of 450–850 MPa, and elongation of usually 30–60%. High chromium and nitrogen content provides excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking and general corrosion. It has mechanical stability in up to about 650 °C temperature and also maintains good toughness even at cryogenic temperatures.

Nitronic 33 rods are available in various sizes, typically from 1/8" to 12" in diameter. Finishes include cold drawn, hot rolled, and ground, offering smooth or rough surface finishes.
Yes, Nitronic 33 bar can be welded using standard welding processes such as TIG or MIG. Proper preheating and post-weld heat treatment may be required for optimal results.
Suitable welding processes for Nitronic 33 Bar include TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), Stick welding (SMAW), and Submerged Arc Welding (SAW), using appropriate filler materials.
Brian Fasteners‘ Nitronic 33 bars and rods are well suited for corrosive and aggressive conditions. They find applications in chemical processing plants for piping, valves, and separators dealing with chloride-laden or acidic fluids. In the marine and offshore sectors, they find use in seawater systems and desalination plants. Oil and gas industries apply them in downhole tools, wellhead components, and subsea structures resisting chloride stress corrosion. Their robust corrosion and mechanical properties also suit power generation, nuclear, and environmental treatment systems. Brian Fasteners’ Nitronic 33 bars ensure durable performance where specialty alloy reliability is critical.
