What is Monel K500 Forgings?

Monel K500 Forgings consist of a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy having around 63% nickel, 30% copper, with aluminum (2.3–3.15%) and titanium (0.35–0.85%) additions. This alloy takes the superior corrosion resistance of Monel 400 and adds more strength and hardness via age hardening. Physical properties are tensile strength of up to 965 MPa, yield strength of about 690 MPa, and elongation of 20%+. Monel K500 maintains toughness and strength at sub-zero temperatures and has excellent stress-corrosion cracking and erosion resistance, good for severe service conditions.
