Brian Fasteners of Houston, USA produces and exports Inconel 686 bars and rods for high-level industries demanding excellent corrosion resistance. Designed for aggressive chemical environments, Inconel 686 blends nickel strength with elevated molybdenum and tungsten levels for excellent resistance to a wide range of acids. Vacuum–melting and hot/cold working are used to produce Brian Fasteners‘ individual bars, which pass rigorous quality standards. The firm serves oil & gas, chemical processing, and marine applications with custom lengths, quick turnaround, and experienced support, guaranteeing Inconel 686 bars operate consistently in highly corrosive atmospheres.
Inconel 686 is a premium nickel alloy containing ~59% Ni, 20–23% Cr, 15–17% Mo, 3–4% W, and trace Fe, Co, and Mn. It provides tensile strength of 790 MPa, yield strength ~400–550 MPa, and elongation of 35–45%. The alloy has good resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion cracking in oxidizing as well as reducing media such as hydrochloric, sulfuric, and nitric acids. Its stability in both reducing and oxidizing media makes it suitable to sustain mechanical performance at high temperatures and pressures.
