Houston-based George Metals is a leading producer and supplier of Inconel 617 Forgings with high-strength, corrosion-resistant components suited for extreme-temperature and chemically aggressive environments. Produced to ASTM B564 and ASME SB-564 specifications, these forgings are precision-made to suit the stringent requirements of aerospace, power generation, and petrochemical sectors. George Metals offers forging solutions custom-tailored, with dimensional accuracy, high metallurgical integrity, and full traceability. Their dedication to quality, quick lead times, and technical support has them as the go-to supplier of Inconel 617 forgings for high-performance critical applications.
Inconel 617 Forgings are produced from a solid solution-strengthened nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy with about 44.5% Ni, 20–24% Cr, 10–15% Co, and 8–10% Mo content, plus added aluminum and trace amounts of titanium to enhance oxidation resistance and strength. This composition has very good mechanical properties with tensile strength of approximately 770 MPa, yield strength of approximately 320 MPa, and elongation of 50% in solution-annealed condition. Inconel 617 exhibits high creep-rupture strength at temperatures above 980°C and possesses outstanding resistance to oxidation, carburization, and a broad spectrum of corrosive environments and hence finds application in high-stress, high-temperature conditions.
