Brian Fasteners of Houston, USA, is a specialized Hastelloy N bars and rods manufacturer and supplier. Through controlled melting and hot working processes, the organization provides high-quality material with the capability to resist oxidizing and reducing conditions. Hastelloy N is tailored for molten salt use and exposures to moderate acidity, and Brian Fasteners maintains uniform geometry and surface finish. Supplying the molten-fluoride reactor, chemical processing, and heat-transfer markets, the company offers custom bar sizes, fast delivery, and comprehensive technical support. Brian Fasteners continues to be a reliable supplier of Hastelloy N bars for uses needing corrosion resistance and thermal performance.
Hastelloy N is a nickel–iron–chromium alloy with ~6–7% Cr, 1–4% Mo, 0.5–1% W, and controlled carbon less than 0.04%. Other elements are manganese, silicon, and traces of aluminum and titanium to ensure stability. Tensile strength is 600–900 MPa, yield strength 300–500 MPa, and elongation 35–55%. The alloy shows excellent resistance to high-temperature molten fluoride salts and moderate acid environments, with stable mechanical properties up to 650 °C. It resists thermal creep and offers good oxidation resistance, making it suitable for high-temperature and corrosive operating conditions.

Yes, Hastelloy N rods can be welded using standard welding techniques, including TIG and MIG welding. Preheat and post-weld heat treatment may be required for optimal results.
Hastelloy N rods are available in various sizes, typically ranging from 1/8" to 3" in diameter. They come with finishes such as cold drawn, bright annealed, or polished, depending on the application.
Hastelloy N bars offer exceptional corrosion resistance, particularly in high-temperature environments. They also exhibit excellent strength, thermal stability, and resistance to oxidation and carburization.
Brian Fasteners Hastelloy N rods and bars find application in molten salt reactors, heat exchangers, and nuclear molten salt process units because of superior molten fluoride salt resistance. They find application in chemical process equipment under moderate oxidizing as well as reducing acids. Their stability at high temperatures provides support to furnace components and flue gas systems. In heat-transfer systems, Hastelloy N is employed for piping and coils under cyclically heated conditions. Brian Fasteners provides precision bars that provide mechanical strength, corrosion resistance, and thermal reliability in molten-salt and high-temperature uses.
