It has tensile strength of 300–450 MPa, yield strength of about 150–250 MPa, and elongation of 20–40%. The alloy possesses very good seawater corrosion resistance, biofouling, and erosion resistance. It also has moderate thermal and electrical conductivities, high formability, and weldability. Its balance makes the 90/10 Cu‑Ni alloy suitable for marine and heat-exchanger use.
