C12000 is ≥99.99% pure copper with oxygen <10 ppm. It has electrical conductivity of ≥101% IACS and tensile strength ~210 MPa with 30–45% elongation. Extremely ductile and annealable, the alloy has superior thermal conductivity (~400 W/m·K) and corrosion resistance. It is simple to weld, solder, and shape, with excellent surface finish.
Copper C12000 bars and rods, also known as Electrolytic Tough-Pitch (ETP) copper, are a commercially pure copper product with a minimum copper content of 99.90%. The remaining 0.10% is mostly oxygen, usually within the range of 0.02-0.04%. These bars and rods have very good electrical and thermal conductivity. They are particularly suited for use in electrical wiring, busbars, and grounding components. It also has a good ductility, malleability and corrosion resistance. Although it is very strong. Its good brazing and soldering characteristics further increase its usability in several applications. However, the presence of oxygen leads to embrittlement at high temperatures in reducing atmospheres.
