Brian Fasteners offers Beryllium Copper C17300 Bars and Rods from Houston, a free-machining alloy with high strength, good conductivity, and superior dimensional stability. It contains a small amount of lead, which improves machinability without compromising on the performance characteristics of C17200. C17300 is suitable for high-precision parts in aerospace, electronics, and defense applications. Our bars are made to ASTM B196/B197 specifications, ranging in size and tempers. C17300 has ~1.8–2.0% Be, 0.2–0.6% Pb, remainder copper. Tensile strength following aging is over 1,300 MPa. Conductivity is 22–28% IACS. The material is age-hardenable, non-magnetic, corrosion-resistant, and possesses superior fatigue and wear resistance. It is suitable for machining high-strength components with close tolerances, with superior chip formation.
