Brian Fasteners provides Aluminium 7050 Forgings produced in Houston for ultra-high-performance aerospace applications. Alloy 7050 is a zinc-magnesium-copper aluminium alloy with superior fracture toughness, stress-corrosion resistance, and consistently strong mechanical properties in heavy sections. Our 7050 forgings meet AMS and ASTM specifications and are thoroughly inspected. They’re best where structural integrity and long-term fatigue resistance are paramount, such as in primary aircraft fittings and high-load assemblies.
Composed of ~6.2% zinc, ~2.3% magnesium, ~2.3% copper, trace zirconium; balance aluminum. Tensile ~570 MPa, yield ~500 MPa (T7451). Retains toughness in thick sections; excellent stress-corrosion resistance. Heat-treatable.

Yes, Aluminum 7050 can be forged into shapes with tight tolerances, as it offers good strength and machinability. However, precise control over temperature and pressure is required for optimal results.
Aluminum 7050 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its limited heat resistance. It is better suited for aerospace and structural applications, offering good strength at lower temperatures.
Aluminum 7050 offers high strength, excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and good fatigue resistance. It's ideal for aerospace and military applications, providing superior performance in custom forgings.
Employed in wing and fuselage joints in aircraft, landing gear mounting, rotors, and flanges in aviation. Employed in defense and high-performance light structural components. Brian Fasteners provides precision machined 7050 forgings certified for structural uses and aviation.
