Brian Fasteners supplies Aluminium 7050 Bars and Rods, an aerospace-grade high-strength alloy from our Houston factory. 7050 is a heat-treatable aluminum-zinc-magnesium-copper alloy designed with higher strength, corrosion resistance, and toughness—particularly in heavy sections. It has higher stress corrosion cracking resistance than 7075 and is well-suited to aircraft structural parts, aerospace tooling, and defense hardware. Our bars meet AMS and ASTM specifications, shipped in T7451 and T7651 temper conditions. Brian Fasteners delivers the best aluminum products with complete traceability, precise machining, and fast dispatch for high-performance applications requiring stringent demands.
Aluminum 7050 contains ~6.2% zinc, 2.3% magnesium, 2.3% copper, and minor elements like zirconium. It has tensile strength of up to 570 MPa and yield strength ~500 MPa in the T7451 temper condition. The alloy shows good resistance to exfoliation and stress corrosion and is a better choice for thick and heavily loaded structures. It can be heat treated and has good machinability and fatigue life. While not as moldable as lower-strength alloys, 7050 is nevertheless highly dimensionally stable after machining and maintains performance in harsh aerospace environments.
