Brian Fasteners provides Aluminium 5082 Rods and Bars, a marine-grade aluminum alloy with unparalleled saltwater resistance and strength. This non-heat-treatable alloy has great weldability and corrosion protection. Our 5082 rods, manufactured in Houston, conform to ASTM B221, in H116 and H32 tempers. Our rods are suitable for offshore equipment, welded structures, and pressure vessels that need corrosion protection and strength in marine conditions.
Contains ~4.4% Mg, ~0.5% Mn, and minor Cr. Tensile strength 275–325 MPa; yield ~215 MPa. Work hardens well, but is not heat treatable, with high fatigue and weld integrity. Resists saltwater corrosion and stress cracking. Machinable and formable, well adapted for tough application.
