Brian Fasteners produces Aluminium 5052 Forgings in Houston, designed for enhanced corrosion resistance and strength. This marine-grade is suitable for parts exposed to saltwater, chemicals, or the outdoors. Our forgings conform to ASTM requirements, with custom shapes and close tolerances, and consistent mechanical properties. The forgings are CNC-machined and tested for quality for structural integrity. Aluminium 5052 forgings provide strength, finish, and weldability—and are ideal for hydraulic components, fuel systems, and exterior automotive components.
Made of ~2.2–2.8% Mg and 0.15–0.35% Cr; remainder Al. Tensile strength 215–305 MPa; yield strength of about 193 MPa. Non-heat-treatable but work-hardenable; good corrosion resistance in seawater and industrial settings. Good fatigue life, weldability, and dimensional stability because of forging.

Aluminum 5052 offers excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good weldability, and formability. It's lightweight, durable, resistant to stress cracking, and performs well in marine and industrial environments, making it ideal for custom forgings.
Aluminum 5052 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its relatively low melting point and poor high-temperature strength. Alloys like 7075 or 2011 are better suited for such applications.
Aluminum 5052 has excellent workability, making it suitable for forging. Its low-to-medium strength, good corrosion resistance, and formability allow for ease in shaping, reducing the risk of cracking during forging.
Used in marine brackets, ship fittings, fuel system parts, pressure vessel components, and hydraulic fittings. Also used in transportation panels and chemical processing equipment. The formability and marine performance of the alloy are suitable for structural components in harsh environments. Brian Fasteners offers high-accuracy 5052 forgings designed to OEM and industrial standards.
