Brian Fasteners manufactures Aluminium 5005 Forgings from Houston, supplying components with superior corrosion resistance and good surface finish. The alloy is highly valued for architectural and marine uses, able to develop high-quality anodized finishes. Our forgings meet the requirements of ASTM and are CNC machined and inspected for quality. Custom forgings supply lightweight, long-lasting parts for decorative trim, hardware, and structural assemblies. With stable alloy chemistry and mechanical performance, Brian Fasteners’ Aluminium 5005 forgings satisfy both form and function for challenging projects.
Comprises ~0.8% Mg and Mn, remainder Al. Tensile strength 140–185 MPa; yield strength ~110 MPa. Non-heat-treatable but hardened through cold working. Provides very good corrosion resistance, particularly with anodized finishes, and fair fatigue and weldability. Excellent surface quality and dimensional accuracy of forged components.

Aluminum 5005 offers excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability, formability, and moderate strength, making it ideal for custom forgings in architectural and marine applications, while providing a smooth, aesthetic finish.
Aluminum 5005 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications. It has moderate strength and good corrosion resistance but lacks the high-temperature stability needed for forging processes.
Aluminum 5005 has good workability, allowing for easy forging. Its moderate strength and excellent corrosion resistance make it suitable for shaping, but it requires careful control of temperature to avoid cracking.
Applied in architectural façade systems, anodized trims, marine fittings, fasteners, and decorative parts. Used in lighting fixtures, signage hardware, and structural parts exposed externally. Due to their corrosion and finish properties, they are suitable for outdoor applications. Brian Fasteners supplies 5005 forgings prepared to be anodized, assembled, or sold directly for architectural, marine, and transportation use.
