What is Aluminium 1100 Bar and Rods?

Aluminium 1100 is ≥99.0% pure aluminum with small quantities of copper (0.05–0.20%) and other minor constituents. It possesses a tensile strength of 90–150 MPa and yield strength of ~35 MPa in the annealed condition. It is characterized by superior corrosion resistance, higher thermal/electrical conductivity, and very high ductility. Although not recommended for high-strength applications, it is good in cold working and forming operations. It cannot be heat treated for strengthening but can be hardened marginally through cold working.
