Brian Fasteners produces Aluminium 1070 Forgings at its Houston factory, focused on high-purity aluminium solutions for the electrical, chemical, and food-grade markets. Aluminium 1070, which offers superior corrosion resistance and high conductivity, is ideal for those applications needing formability and purity. Our forgings meet ASTM standards and are precision-machined for reliability and dimensional accuracy. Whether employed in electrical conductors, heat exchangers, or packaging machinery, our 1070 forgings provide consistent performance, ease of machining, and extended life in service. We manufacture to meet high-spec industries where purity and non-toxicity are critical.
Made up of ≥99.7% aluminium and minor impurities such as Fe, Si, and Cu. Tensile strength ~85–130 MPa; yield strength ~35 MPa. Cannot be heat-treated; hardened through cold working. Provides excellent electrical conductivity (~62% IACS), high thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance, and excellent surface finish. Ductile and soft—well suited for bending, welding, and deep drawing.

The forging process for Aluminium 1070 typically takes several hours, depending on the complexity of the part and size. Heating, shaping, cooling, and finishing stages each contribute to the total time.
Aluminum 1070 is not ideal for high-temperature forging applications due to its relatively low melting point and limited strength at elevated temperatures. Alloys like 7075 or 2618 are better suited.
Aluminum 1070 offers excellent corrosion resistance, high electrical conductivity, good formability, and high purity, making it ideal for custom forgings in applications requiring strength and durability with minimal impurities.
Aluminium 1070 forgings are found in electrical bus bars, transformer windings, heat exchanger tubing, chemical processing lines, food machinery, and radiators. They are pure enough to be used in pharmaceutical equipment and non-toxic food-contact surfaces. They can be used in foil stocks, reflective surfaces, and packaging lines. Brian Fasteners offers Aluminium 1070 forgings for clean, formable, and corrosion-resistance requirements of various industries.
