Aluminium 1060 has at least 99.6% aluminum with small percentages of iron, silicon, and copper. It provides a tensile strength of 70–130 MPa and yield strength of about 30 MPa in the annealed state. It is not heat treatable but is amenable to cold working. 1060 has superior corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and reflectivity, with superior electrical conductivity (~61% IACS). It is easily formed and welded, albeit with low mechanical strength relative to other alloys.
Aluminium 1060 bars and rods consist of aluminum content of a minimum of 99.6%. These elements have high electrical and thermal conductivities and very high corrosion resistivity. Its common composition includes other trace elements consisting of 0.25% of iron (Fe), 0.03% copper (Cu), 0.05% of manganese (Mn), and 0.03% of silicon (Si). Other contents consist of negligible quantities of zinc, titanium, among others. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 1060 are approximately tensile strength at 55-70 MPa, yield strength at 30 MPa, and elongation at more than 20%. It is very ductile, lightweight, and has flexibility in designs as well as for forming processes.
