Brian Fasteners supplies Alloy Steel F91 Bars and Rods produced in Houston, USA, suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure service conditions like power generation and petrochemical complexes. F91 is a 9Cr-1Mo-V alloy with outstanding creep strength, thermal strength, and durability over long periods in severe service conditions. It is heavily utilized for pressure vessels, boilers, steam piping, and heavy-wall parts. We provide F91 bars according to ASTM A182 and ASME SA182 specifications, heat-treated and machined to tight tolerances. Brian Fasteners provides high-performance alloy solutions with material traceability, independent testing, and worldwide shipping capabilities.
F91 alloy steel contains ~9% chromium, 1% molybdenum, and minor additions of vanadium, niobium, and nitrogen. It provides tensile strength of 585–760 MPa and yield strength of approximately 415 MPa. The alloy provides excellent creep resistance, oxidation resistance, and hot strength up to 650°C. F91 is also furnished in the normalized and tempered condition. It is satisfactorily weldable when appropriate post-weld heat treatment is used. Its thermal fatigue resistance and metallurgical stability make it best suited for long-term service at higher temperatures.

Alloy Steel F91 Bars and Rods are primarily used in high-temperature and high-pressure applications such as power plants, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers due to their strength and resistance to oxidation.
Alloy Steel F91 offers excellent tensile strength, high-temperature resistance, and good oxidation and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for demanding industrial applications.
Alloy Steel F91 performs exceptionally well in extreme environments, maintaining strength and integrity under high-temperature and high-pressure conditions, making it ideal for critical components.
F91 bars and rods are widely applied in superheaters, high-pressure boilers, reheaters, header systems, and steam lines. They play vital roles in heavy-duty pressure vessels, nuclear and thermal power plants, refinery reactors, and steam generators. F91 components in petrochemical plants resist thermal cycling and high-pressure hydrogen environments. The strength and oxidation resistance of the alloy qualify it for severe environments that necessitate long lifespan. Brian Fasteners offers a certified precision-cut F91 rods according to customer drawings and engineered for conformance to stringent industry standards.
