Brian Fasteners supplies F5 Alloy Steel bars and rods from Houston, USA, designed for strength and performance in high-temperature, high-pressure operations. Compliant with ASTM A182, F5 alloy bars are manufactured to exact metallurgy for resistance to heat and endurance. Our materials find application in petrochemical, power-generation, and heavy process industries. With stringent quality checks and timely delivery, Brian Fasteners provides F5 alloy rods that comply with all requirements for long-lasting, reliable service in demanding industrial applications.
F5 alloy steel is a chromium-moly type with approximately 5% chromium and 0.50%–0.60% molybdenum and contains 0.45–0.55% carbon. Its tensile strength is generally in the range 620–750 MPa, and yield strength in the order of 340–450 MPa. F5 provides reasonable corrosion resistance in moderate environments, maintains strength at temperatures up to some 500 °F (260 °C), and provides consistent toughness and ductility. It is weldable and amenable to post-weld heat treatment, providing operational integrity under cyclic temperature and pressure conditions.

Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods are widely used in aerospace, power generation, and petrochemical industries for high-temperature applications like turbine blades and heat exchangers.
These bars offer exceptional strength, high-temperature stability, and resistance to oxidation, making them ideal for demanding environments.
The tensile strength of Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods ranges from 620-850 MPa, ensuring excellent durability and performance.
F5 rods and bars are used in pump shafts, valve trims, flanges, and pressure-holding parts for petrochemical and power plants. They‘re apt for moderate-temp heat exchangers, steam piping, and boiler parts. F5 alloy rods are employed by chemical processing and oil refining industries in equipment where there is a need for high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance. Their weldability and hardness also qualify them for the use in these applications as structural supports and shafts in compressors and steam turbines, providing long-term life in cyclic thermal and mechanical conditions.
