Alloy Steel F22 has ~2.25% chromium, 1.0% molybdenum, and low carbon (~0.10%). It provides tensile strength 485–655 MPa and yield strength ~275 MPa. It is intended to resist hydrogen attack, thermal fatigue, and oxidation up to 600°C. The alloy is supplied normalized and tempered and is easy to weld with post-weld heat treatment. F22 shows creep resistance, toughness, and dimensional stability under cyclic loading.
