Brian Fasteners offers high-quality Alloy Steel F1 Bars and Rods that are produced to ASTM A182 specifications and sourced from our Houston, USA location. F1 is a chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to exhibit moderate strength along with high temperature performance in parts of pressure systems. F1, being workable, heat stable, and resistant to oxidation, finds wide applications in industrial valve and flange production. Our normalized and tempered condition alloy bars of F1 exhibit very good dimensional tolerance, machinability, and traceability of material, making them high in performance as well as long-term endurance in critical environments.
Alloy Steel F1 contains ~0.10% carbon, 0.50% manganese, 0.50% chromium, and 0.50% molybdenum. F1 low-alloy steel has tensile strength between 400–550 MPa and yield strength of 200–275 MPa with satisfactory elongation (~22–30%). F1 is resistant to oxidation and corrosion in high-temperature steam and water environments to 500°C. F1 has good resistance to thermal fatigue and can be easily welded and machined in normalized state. F1‘s mechanical characteristics position it well for moderate-temperature service under different pressure and stress.

Alloy Steel F1 Bars and Rods are widely used in industries like automotive, aerospace, petrochemical, and power generation. They are perfect for applications requiring strength, durability, and resistance to high temperatures and corrosion.
Yes, we offer customization options for Alloy Steel F1 Bars and Rods, including specific dimensions, grades, and mechanical properties tailored to meet your project's unique requirements.
The alloy’s chemical composition, featuring high levels of chromium and molybdenum, ensures superior strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance. This makes our Alloy Steel F1 Bars and Rods ideal for demanding environments and heavy-duty applications.
F1 Rods and Bars find common applications in the production of flanges, valves, pressure vessels, and pipe fittings that function at moderate pressure and temperature levels. The alloy works satisfactorily in steam lines, boiler feedwater systems, and chemical plants. Due to its machinability and weldability, F1 is extensively applied in fabricated parts that need high integrity and oxidation resistance. Its formability and strength balance it for structural support, process control parts, and equipment in the energy industry. Brian Fasteners maintains a uniform material quality that is perfect for original equipment as well as repair replacement parts.
