Brian Fasteners is a top manufacturer and supplier of AISI 52100 alloy steel bars and rods in Houston, USA. These are renowned for their high hardness and abrasion resistance, and our 52100 bars are heat–treated and precision–made to strict tolerances. With reliable product consistency, quick delivery, and metallurgical expertise, we can supply products that meet stringent requirements. From bearings to stamping tools, we offer high-performance AISI 52100 solutions, which guarantee long-life, low–friction, and durability in tough engineering applications under harsh wear and stress conditions.
AISI 52100 has about 1.00% carbon and 1.30% chromium, along with trace amounts of manganese and silicon. It is a chromium alloy steel with high carbon intended for extreme hardness and wear resistance. After heat-treatment, its tensile strength is about 1600–1900 MPa, and its yield strength is between 1300–1600 MPa. It tends to achieve HRC 60–66 hardness. It retains excellent fatigue life, dimensions stability, and surface finish. Though it is difficult to machine because of its hardness, 52100 excel in rolling and sharpening processes for high-bearing load applications.

AISI 52100 Bars and Rods offer exceptional wear resistance, high hardness, and superior strength, making them ideal for high-performance applications.
Yes, AISI 52100 Bars and Rods can be heat treated to enhance hardness and wear resistance, especially for components like bearings and gears.
AISI 52100 Bars and Rods are commonly used in automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery for manufacturing bearings, gears, and shafts.
AISI 52100 rods and bars are the best used for precision bearings—ball, roller, and tapered bearings. Tool industries making dies, mandrels, punches, and gauge parts also utilize them. Their resistance to wear and high hardness make them suitable for machine tool spindle bearings, valve parts, and transmission shafts. Brick-laying equipment, heavy-duty equipment rollers, and wire-rolling processes also employ 52100. For long service life instruments needing low maintenance and close wear characteristics, the alloy provides unparalleled performance under constant cyclical stresses.
