Brian Fasteners supplies high-strength AISI 4340 alloy steel bars and rods to Houston, USA clients. Our advanced manufacturing and quality control procedures guarantee bars with first–class mechanical performance, precision tolerance, and traceability. AISI 4340 is known for its high strength and toughness, fatigue strength, and resistance. We guarantee each rod conforms to customer specifications for aerospace, defense, and high-performance mechanical equipment. Brian Fasteners provides metallurgical expertise, adaptable order fulfillment, and high-quality alloy solutions customized to demanding engineering applications.
AISI 4340 has 0.38–0.43% carbon, 0.70–0.90% manganese, 0.40–0.60% chromium, 1.65–2.00% nickel, and 0.20–0.30% molybdenum. Its broad alloy content enables excellent heat-treatment response and strength. Heat-treated 4340 bars have tensile strength of 930–1,400 MPa, yield strength of around 850–1,200 MPa, and toughness that can withstand shock loading. Excellent impact resistance and fatigue strength make it suitable for critical applications. Machining is viable when pre-machined in lower hardness, and weldability is average—suitable for heavy-duty engineering requirements.
