At Brian Fasteners, we assist your industrial requirement with custom solutions, quick turnaround time, and superior customer service.
1035 Round Bar is a medium carbon steel with around 0.32–0.38% carbon and 0.60–0.90% manganese. It offers more strength and hardness than low-carbon steels, with tensile strength of 570–700 MPa and yield strength of approximately 350 MPa. It possesses good wear resistance as well as machinability. Although not as formable as low-carbon steels, it is good for heat treatment, such as quenching and tempering, which enhances its strength and toughness. 1035 Round Bars are appropriate for machining into parts requiring higher mechanical properties.

1035 Round Bar is not recommended for cryogenic applications as it may become brittle at extremely low temperatures.
To choose the right 1035 Round Bar, consider factors like the required strength, machinability, and specific application needs, ensuring it aligns with your project’s requirements.
Yes, 1035 Round Bar is recyclable and can be reused in various applications.
1035 Round Bars find extensive application in mechanical and structural applications where additional strength is required. Typical applications include crankshafts, axles, couplings, gears, shafts, and machine components. The possibility of heat-treating the steel makes it suitable for automotive and heavy-duty machinery components that require wear resistance with moderate toughness. 1035 steel also finds application in forging operations, agricultural equipment, and industrial tools. Though less ductile than lower-carbon steels, its balanced properties give it a wide utility for both fabrication and machining operations across all manufacturing industries.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
